Connections

raindrops

The more I walk in the Way, the more I am coming to realize that this whole thing is about who you know.

Knowing God and the Christ He sent is eternal life.  Things happen in this life because of who you know.  What is important is the depth in which you know someone.

God’s desire is that we all come to know Him in the most intimate manner possible. That was the true purpose for Jesus coming and doing all that he did.  His prayer in John 17 sums it up nicely…….”That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us,”

In Jesus’ own words, the purpose of believers living in such a state is so that, “the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.”

Amazing, isn’t it?  We all want to pray more; preach louder; sing longer; etc. etc., in the hopes that God will “pour out His Spirit” and/or “send revival” but nobody wants to focus on what Jesus prayed before he lifted off from this planet.  I guess what I’m saying is that if we would stop asking God to do something He has already done (think about it) and learn to walk in the empowerment of the New Covenant He has already given us and learn to LOVE ONE ANOTHER (which is the New Commandment; John 13:34) the world would recognize Him!

I’m here to tell you that you better get used to the idea of intimately knowing and being intimately known in the Body of Christ!  To know Him means to know one another.  To love Him is to love one another.  There is no shortcut or alternate route.  This is what Father is bringing into the earth.  Meaningful, intimate, Divinely Ordained Kingdom connections are falling like rain!

Let me tell you why I use this particular analogy.

I have many dear, elderly men who are precious to me.  The wisdom, encouragement and strength that I receive from the generation before me is astounding.  The Kingdom is advanced through generational transfer, you know.  But, that is a topic for another time.

There is one brother in particular who was seeing/hearing, and more importantly, living out Kingdom revelations while I was still a mere child.  This precious jewel was uncovered a few years back as I discovered that he and his lovely wife lived about an hour and twenty minutes from my home.  Often times, Misty and I drive out to see them and spend the day with them.  There are other times when I will drive out and introduce them to a young man that I am discipling.  In any case, it is always, and I do mean ALWAYS, worth the trip!

One of the things this elder brother has shared with me on occasion was a vision he experienced.  He saw the earth set before him.  On the earth, he could see drops of rain that had fallen.  For a while, he watched as the earth continued its rotation with nothing else occurring.  Then slowly, the small, individual drops of rain began to move.  As they moved, they began to move towards one another eventually merging together to form larger accumulations.  After the smaller drops enveloped one another to form larger drops, the larger drops then began to migrate towards one another and unite.  Ultimately, all the individual drops came together as one and began to flow as a mighty river across the face of the earth!

I’m amazed by the way in which I am seeing this vision coming to pass!  Father has been and continues to send Kingdom connections like raindrops who find one another and flow together.

Just last month, we had the privilege of hosting a gathering here in McKinney where over 70 brothers/sisters from across the planet came together for no other reason but to meet one another and be together in His presence.  The majority of those relationships have been formed since the end 2009.  But, these are not relationships that are meaningless or void of purpose.  These relationships are Divinely appointed.  Despite the distance of geographical location, the depth of love transcends a mere earthly quality and reaches dynamic realms of the Spirit.

And the means of Father in bringing these connections knows no ends.  Just this past weekend, we had a couple drive up from Brenham, Texas, which is over 4 hours South of McKinney, to meet us and be with us.  The reason that they invested the time and effort to be here was because they have been seeking true Kingdom community and a couple whom they know, which happen to live in Israel, directed them to us.

Israel?  Really?  Yes.  We have never met the couple from Israel but they have been listening to the teachings on the Forerunner Website and reading this blog.  We started communicating by email and there was a connection by the Spirit!  So, as the couple from Brenham drove up here to see us, they stopped in Plano to meet another precious couple for the first time who also knew the couple in Israel.  As we gathered together over the weekend and the local brothers/sisters received our visitors, it was like heaven on earth!  There was no awkwardness.  We simply all flowed together like we had known one another our entire lifetime.  Christ was exchanged and life was imparted! It was glorious!  This is how Father intended it to be.

What Father is doing in the earth is deep!  The shallowness of superficial religious “relationships” is being washed away by the forceful flow of purposeful, intimate kinship.  He is bringing those of His Household who have the same heart, mind and spirit together!

To not expect it………is to be unaware!  To not receive it……..is foolish!  To cling to what you have always known and, therefore, ultimately reject it…………is tragic!

I will close with the words from a prophecy that was given in 1934.  The knowledge of this prophetic utterance was given to me by one of the precious elders I have the privilege of knowing.  He happens to be 100 years old!

“It shall come as a breath…

And the breath shall bring the wind…

And the wind shall bring the rain…

And there shall be floods and floods and floods…

And torrents and torrents and torrents….

Souls shall be saved like falling leaves from mighty oaks swept by a hurricane…

AND THERE SHALL BE NO EBB.”

Keep your peace!

  1. Bryon, this read like a poem with music. God has struck His tuning fork as I saw many years ago, and we only need to draw close to Jesus with our spiritual eyes and ears open to hear what the spirit is saying to the church. Thanks for being obedient.

  2. The Lord has been saying to my wife and I that as long as we are connected with the Head, he will connect us to the rest of the Body. It is foolish to think we can connect with the body without connection with our Head. That is our focus and aim now – to do what Jesus tells us to do and remain obedient to him, and we know Kingdom connections will come. I do feel that my spirit resonates with everything you are saying and I am longing for those kinds of connections close by where we live, but it isn’t happening yet. I have been cncouraged by what you are saying and it inspires me to keep pressing and to not give up. Instead of looking for connections by going to an institution, we are looking for those relational assignments and people he just wants us to love on – then the kingdom commections will follow that.

    • Be encouraged, my brother! It is just a matter of aligning ourselves in the Kingdom and a matter of timing! He started the work in you and He will be faithful to complete it!

and, I hope you consider us a “connection”. If there is ever anything we can do for you, please let us know. Peace!

      • Thanks for the encouragement, I do consider you a connection. I have been blessed and have received much from your example and your desire to press into the things of God wholeheartedly. I would love to run some things by you as the Lord leads. By the way, on the note of common connections, I noticed you with Steve Crosby in a pic from one of your posts a while back – He was just up here in the Spokane, WA area and I had the chance to meet him for coffee. He has been a source of great inspiration and re-thinking the past couple years as well. I have also just started reading the book you recommended “Becoming Love” and it is awesome! Blessings Bro.

      • Yes……Crosby is a dear and precious brother to us. Hopefully, he will be back with us in April where we will tag team a weekend’s teaching on functioning in the new covenant/Kingdom. Should be fun!

Glad you are enjoying Roses’s book! Believe me when I say, that brother IS the message you read in the book! He’s not just writing about something.

Feel free to contact me anytime. Would love to speak with you regarding whatever!

        Keep your peace!
